Original and one-of-a-kind WW2 era American “theater-made” fighting knife made from the tip of the Spanish-American War era Krag M1898 bayonet for the blade and a nicely re-worked gun shell case for the handle. The knife comes with original leather scabbard in decent condition; both are completely unmarked. The overall quality of this practical fighter is actually pretty high. The handle was definitely made by an expert – it is as practical as it is beautiful. This fighting knife is about 8-7/8″/22.5 cm overall; the blade is about 5-1/4″/13.3 cm; the blade has been re-sharpened; it is very sharp still; the tip is slightly nicked. Original scabbard is a contemporary re-purposed hunting knife sheath; it fits the blade perfectly. It’s in good over shape; the leather is soft and supple still. The knife comes with original leather scabbard in decent condition; both are completely unmarked. The overall quality of this unique but practical fighter is actually pretty high.
