Selling today Vintage WM FRANK William Frank Bb Trumpet Chicago with csse. BELL SIZE IS NEAR 4.50 Large bore . Serial range #20xxx Im limiting my collection so just found this horn in a case. Need to limit stock. I have sold one of these a while ago I believe this is the 2nd not exact same model as the previous one but similar. I had this horn was several years and was mostly in a case . I was buying many horns in the past to compare it for the sound etc.. This horn still plays well and was just tested. Compression is still good with a bit of leakage on 1st and 3rd valves so heavier oil will do better but light one is fine and horn still plays well and slides do still have a pop. horn is large bore 0.470 measured with caliper inside of the 2nd actual slide . Horn is still good shape . I believe all is raw brass patina. It was always raw brass or was stripped in the past. There is some rust inside the bell possibly from water from playing could be buffed out on the machine or by hand since there is no lacquer. All slides do ing out and valve are smooth with pistons in good shape. I especially like feature of the finger saddle which can be moved with the screw on the pipe or even taken out and installed on any other horn. Bracings are solid. See all photos as these are part of the listing description . It features still nice bell engravings a bit ala Martin Committee and this horn plays with the jazzy sounds as well. Included case in great shape not sure if original but horn sites well in it and will be also secured inside for ship as I always do. No mouthpiece. Dont miss out Note : if you like it please buy it at this time cuz I will get extremely busy towards the end of June and I will possibly need to pull out the horn fro, eBay or set up vacation selling a with much delayed shipping.
