Rare, looking to move it for best offer that we can live with. If nothing comes through we will probably just hold it as an investment. Here is a chance to own what is said to be one of only a very small number of Counterpoint’s magnificent SA-11 preamplifiers. We’re hoping it finds its way to someone that appreciates it here in the U.S. but we are willing to ship out of the country as well. “Wow! So this is what musical heaven is like! The Counterpoint SA11 is not only the most beautiful sounding line section extant, but is also the most accurate and the most musically truthful” – Peter Moncrieff, International Audio Review Cosmetic condition:The face plate and all lettering is in near perfect condition. As shown in the photos, only very light scuffs on the top surface that can probably lightly cleaned to near new condition. All knobs are straight and rotate smoothly. All toggle switches click evenly and solidly into place. Under 4X magnification the RCA connections on the back show no scratching or wear. Side panels are clean and near new condition. Rear is pristine with none of the inputs or outputs showing any signs of being bumped or bent. We cannot find any significant wear, grime or marks to the outside. Overall we can honestly rate it a solid 9+ out of 10. Functionality:If you are considering this control amplifier you know of its famed capabilities. Our “testing” has been limited to powering it up. We are not qualified to go through the many tests it deserves and like any very fine piece of art or equipment we are not going to take a chance of damaging something that doesn’t have any issues to begin (which is our guess here), all appears to be working without issues. When powered on it took about 15 seconds for it to become “ready” and ALL of the lights came on. With that said if you have ANY concerns we are willing to take this SA-11 to your choice of a Dallas area professional and (at your expense) have them review this SA-11 before you buy it. We are confident it will test fine but need some basic adjustments. In our professional opinion this SA-11 has seen very low use. We are also open to meeting you and allowing a basic “plug-in” test if you think it necessary. Local pickup is preferred however we will ship securely double boxed, insured and with signature. This sale is not offering returns. As mentioned above we will be happy to have it reviewed at your expense in the Dallas area before you buy and/or perform a local area “plug-in” test.
